Unleash Your Inner Sparkle

Unleash Your Inner Sparkle

Eyewear has always been a huge player in the fashion industry. Whether prescription or sunglasses you need to pick what suits your face shape, style, usage and season as well as the latest trends in eyewear fashion.

When choosing eyewear it’s always a good idea to take your time and try on as many different styles, shapes and colours as possible. The wonderful team at Lowes and Partners Optometrists are experts in their field and take away the stress and uncertainty of finding the perfect pair of glasses for you.

The 2017 Autumn/Winter range is now being release and echo’s the beautiful colours mother nature has to offer. The cold season tunes into the reds, browns, greens and deep natural tones that surround us for the ultimate natural look. Marble or tortoiseshell in these tones are highly sort after and compliment these trends and the environment perfectly. This season you will see some previous popular styles along with some new ones, the cat’s eye is still as popular as ever and vintage shapes are flowing in with full force, however the large, loud, heavy, oversized square shapes are now well and truly on their way out.

Keeping these tips in mind you still need to shop for your face shape.

Below is a quick crash course on what style of glasses best suits your face shape:

• The Square shape (broad forehead with a strong jaw line) – round or oval are your ‘go to’ as they will soften your strong, sharp features. Stay away from square and geometric shapes.

• Heart (broad forehead that extends down to a small chin) – again round and oval shapes are perfect for your broad forehead and compliment your beautiful high and angled cheekbones. Keep clear from top heavy styles or decorative designs.

• The Oval shape (lightly curved jawline that is a little narrower than the forehead) – The ultimate ‘anything goes’ shape. The goal for you is to create a contrast to your facial curves however stay away from small, short and round frames.

• Diamond – (wide cheekbones, a narrow forehead and angular jaw lines) – your ‘go to’ frames are oval, rimless or glasses with a strong brow line.

This will create balance and enhance facial features. Keep well away from narrow or thin frames. Again, the friendly expert team at Lowes and Partners are more than happy to discuss all the above with you to help you find your next perfect pair! That’s all from me (for now) have a wonderful, wild, Winter.
